INFO: A goalkeeper discovered by São Bento in the capital, he was soon taken to Paulistano, in time to participate in the pioneering trip to Europe in 1925, where he played his first five games for the Jardim América team. He was considered agile, elegant, and daring, always making great saves. He was São Paulo state champion in 1926, 1927, and 1929. Later, he helped found São Paulo in 1930, where he was the first goalkeeper, and also signed the first membership form as an athlete-member of the Tricolor Paulista. Before professionalism, players had to be members of the club to be able to play in official competitions. Nestor was on the first list of players called up for the 1930 World Cup, but because of a dispute between the presidents of the CBD and APEA, he could not go to Uruguay. Nestor had to abandon his career at the age of 24 after suffering a serious spinal injury during a game against Palestra Itália in the 1931 Campeonato Paulista. He passed away in 1992.
