INFO: A graduate of the Club's base division, Ronaldo had great skill and reflexes and was the tricolor goalkeeper in the 1988 Brazilian title. That year, he started as a backup to goalkeeper Sidmar, but with the departure of the starter at the end of 1988 to Portuguesa-SP, Ronaldo became the team's main goalkeeper. He had memorable performances in the final stages of the competition, especially in the final game against Inter at Beira-Rio, in which he played the best game of his career, scoring the goal and securing the cup for the “Esquadrão”.

He was a club idol with a strong personality and ability to lead the team towards achievements such as the 1988 Brazilian championship.

In that National, the archer competed with the young goalkeeper Taffarel from Internacional, for the title of best goalkeeper in the Championship, but unfortunately the award was given to the archer from Rio Grande do Sul.

In addition, he was three times state champion as a starter for Tricolor from 1981 to 1983 and participated in the Brazilian Under-20 team that played games in Iran in 1978.

In 1991, he left Bahia to play for Leãozinho da Barra, Vitória, where he stayed for six years and won three Baianos Championships, in 1992, 1995 and 1996.
