INFO: Carlitos has played for a club throughout his career: the International Sport Club. The right-hander played from 1939 to 1951, consecrated as the greatest scorer in the history of the International, with 325 goals in 384 games. He is also Gre-Nal's top scorer with 42 goals in 62 games.
The first games were by the amateur time of its neighborhood, the Tristezense and to the International in 1937, to the 16 years. The player is believed to be Carlos until his birth certificate is presented to the club. He discovered, then, that the clerk had registered him only as Alberto de Souza by the colorado on May 22, 1938, in a 4x0 victory over the São José.
Known for never having missed a penalty, Carlitos was the author of the famous "Goal of the Inclined Plane", in the match on September 16, 1945, a 4x4 tie with the Cruzeiro de Porto Alegre at the Eucalyptus Stadium. The striker was played in the small area, passed the ball trajectory, but found the time to throw back and scoring head. In 1939, in a match against Sokol, Carlitos scored seven goals, biggest signal. O Internacional won by 13 to 1.
