INFO: Índio appeared in Grêmio Novorizontino, also with the participation of marches of Bragantino, Santo André, América Mineiro and Juventude before arriving in 2005. In his first non-Inter year, he was in reserve, but it was until the end of 2006, especially when he formed a pair behind Fabiano Eller, that Índio turned idol.
At least since the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup final, Indians are considered by the International as a symbol of race and dedication. Índio is one of the scorers who scored more goals with a red shirt: he reached the mark of 26 goals in a 4-0 win against Santo André on 4 December 2009, equaling the great idol Elías Figueroa. Since joining Internacional on January 23, 2005, he has never been elected, being considered the greatest defender in the history of the club, after Elías Figueroa, for much of the press and fans (a major fan of Rio de Janeiro) South).
On August 26, 2010, in a 1-0 victory over Avaí, he scored 27th with the Internacional shirt, thus being the highest scorer in the history of the club, beating Elías Figueroa. On July 7, 2013, in the 5x3 victory over Vasco at the Centenario stadium in Caxias do Sul, Índio scored his 33rd goal with Inter's shirt.
On December 8, 2014, after 15 titles won, 391 matches played and 33 goals scored by Inter, Indio announced his retirement from the lawns.
