INFO: An export-type star
In the long 50s, Salvador shone with a colorful shirt and won the fans in Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.
Brazilian players arousing the interest of foreign clubs is commonplace in the world of football these days. But this scenario was very different in the 50's. Succeeding outside Brazil was a task for a few different athletes. One of them was Salvador midfielder, a member of the Colorado team in the 1950s.

Before becoming an idol at Inter and winning the fans of Peñarol, Uruguay, and River Plate, Argentina, Milton Alves da Silva was a neat boy who defended the team of Colão Pão dos Pobres, in Porto Alegre. After seeing a series of difficult games decided by the talent of Milton, colleagues and teachers nicknamed him Salvador, a name that accompanied him throughout the brilliant career in the fields.
The first club of Salvador was the Force and Light, of Porto Alegre. The highlight of the midfielder was immediate and he soon caught the attention of Inter, who took it in 1951. The team was being restructured, coming from a victorious decade, marked by the formation of the famous Roller Compressor, by Tesourinha and Carlitos .

The fans did not regret the end of that generation for a long time. Soon, great players like Larry, Bodinho and Salvador himself came together to form the team that would be nicknamed Rolinho, under the command of the legendary coach Teté. When Salvador arrived, Inter was the current champion of the state of Rio Grande do Sul and, with the presence of the midfielder, won three consecutive titles, closing the four-time championship between 1950 and 1953.

In 1954, Salvador participated in one of the unforgettable Gre-Nais of history, in a match valid for the opening tournament of the Olympic Stadium. The Red team massacred the rival, applying a thrashing of 6 to 2. Together with Larry and Bodinho, the Savior ended that game, remembers former teammate Milton Vergara.
The history of Salvador with the red shirt ended the following year, with one more title gaucho. The exit was motivated by a friendly between Inter and Peñarol, in which the player demonstrated his well-known vision of game and elegance in the passes and started. When the legendary Obdulio Varela left the Uruguayan club, the leaders had no doubts of whom to look for to make the substitution.

A few years after Salvador went to Peñarol, Inter visited Montevideo for another friendly against the Uruguayans. The friends Salvador and Milton Vergara then agreed to meet and stroll around the city. We could not take two steps without someone stopping him and asking for autographs. He had a lot of morals there, remembers the former red goalkeeper.

Salvador was still the idol of River Plate, Argentina, before ending his career. Its importance in the history of the International can be verified in the words of Milton Vergara, who says: many high-quality players played at Inter in that position, like the ''Falcão'', for example. But like the Savior, he had none.

Milton earned the nickname of '' SALVADOR '' in his childhood, at the school where he played for his high level of football, he was different from other colleagues, and thus led his team to win the competitions, a nickname that prevailed throughout his life, a curiosity is that nilton was also wronged by the selection, as well as '' Falcão '' and other gaucho players, for not being summoned, who saw him play, says that he had high level football and even better than his own Falcão, and a coincidence is that both were born the same day and month.
