INFO: Playing as a quarterback, Florindo became known as the Ebony Giant due to his vigorous bearing.
Revealed by the Hope of Nova Friburgo in 1944, he was transferred the following year to Fluminense, a club in the same city, and later to return to Esperança. In 1949, he went to the Capital to defend the Flemish, remaining until May of 1950. In the same year, he went to Porto Alegre to defend the colors of the National. From 1951 to 1959, he served in the International from 1951 to 1959. [2] It was marked in the history of the Grenais. In a Grenal held in 1956, he cycled the ball that was entering the goal colorado and was applauded standing.
Florindo also played in Botafogo, Ponte Preta, Taubaté, Pelotas and São Paulo (RS).

Pan American of 1956

Goalkeeper Sérgio Moacir was part of the Brazilian squad, made up of a team of Gaucho players, who won the 1956 Pan-American Championship title in Mexico. That team unveiled soccer stars "tupiniquim", such as goalkeeper Valdir Joaquim de Moraes, defender Oreco (world champion in 1958), midfielder Ênio Andrade and striker Chinesinho among others.
