INFO:Colquhoun is a former centre back. He spent most of his career at Sheffield United, playing 433 matches and scoring 23 goals from 1968 to 1978. He played in his early career for Bury and West Bromwich Albion − where he covered also the side back position. He retired in 1981 after spells in the United States at Detroit Express and Washington Diplomats. He capped 9 times for Scotland between 1971 and 1973.
A first choice for many years at Sheffield United, Colquhoun was an iron centre back, an uncompromising hard tackler and the leader of the defence. He played rough but fair, going always for the ball. He was powerful, cool in the defence, highly effective in the air. His very good heading ability was a threat in the opposing box and earned him many goals at Sheffield United.
