INFO: Leandro started playing football in Avaí's base divisions, however, he emerged as a pro in the Internacional. He was called up for the main and pre-Olympic team playing for Colorado.
Then went to play in Europe, where he played for Valencia. Despite being the top scorer of the team in mid season went to Sporting Lisbon where he was an idol. However, he had disciplinary problems and was loaned to Tenerife.
In 1999 Flamengo sought an attack partner for Romário and the club saw in Leandro, the ideal partner, was when the striker donned the Flamengo shirt. It started very well and a new call for the Brazilian team was considered. However, Leandro had a serious knee injury and in 2001 he was loaned to Internacional, a club that revealed him, to play for the Brazilian of that year and returned to Rubro-Negro in 2002. Leandro Machado won 9 titles for the black title.
It was playing in Ukrainian football, where he won the national championship and the Ukrainian Cup after he left the country for the second time. It was the First Brazilian in the history of the Dynamo of Kiev.
In 2004, he was in Santos, when the club from São Paulo raised its second national title.
He also played in clubs in Mexico, Olympia in Paraguay and Ulsan Hyundai in South Korea, where he was the best striker in 2005.
