INFO: Machado was one of the players who came from São Paulo, where he had the nickname "Iron Foot", to form one of the greatest teams in the history of Fluminense in the 30's. Asked about his joy at playing in Rio, replied: "How could I not be satisfied, coming to a club like Fluminense?" Rightly so.
