INFO: Machado was one of the players who came from São Paulo, where he had the nickname "Iron Foot", to form one of the greatest teams in the history of Fluminense in the 30's. Asked about his joy at playing in Rio, replied: "How could I not be satisfied, coming to a club like Fluminense?" Rightly so. The triumph of Rio de Janeiro won between 1936 and 1938 won him the title in the selection that won the 3rd place in the World Cup in 1938, where he formed the side with Domingos da Guia.
