Attack MindedINFO: In his youth he was known by the nickname "Japonês", when he played as a midfielder on the Várzea Grande Independent team. Skilful, his football was noticed by representatives of the Don Bosco Sports Club of Cuiabá (MT).
He played on the Ponte Preta from 1975 to 1980. An authentic right-hander, who dribbled short and long, fast, goalscoring and that went to the bottom line to focus on his teammates, especially the forward Rui Rei. He came to Ponte Preta well recommended by his good performances in football Mato Grosso. It was the secret weapon of the bridge-pretano squadron, always receiving the precise launches of Dicá. He was twice runner-up from São Paulo. Curiously another great phase of his career happened in 1982, playing in rival Guarani.
Lucius was so quick that it provoked the almost simultaneous interest of the Campo Grande Worker, the Guarani and the Ponte Preta.
In September 1975, for only 20,000 cruzeiros, Lúcio hit his financial base with the Ponte Preta Athletic Association.
At Moisés Lucarelli, Lucio lived his most productive phase and became the new fan of "Macaca" fans.
Thanks to the precise launches of Dicá, Lucio was transformed into a lethal weapon of the attack maneuvers of the campineiro picture.
Runner-up in the 1977 and 1979 editions, Lúcio remained in Campinas until 1980, when his pass was negotiated with the Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras.
