Attack/Defence Awareness Card:
Attack MindedINFO: He played in Portuguesa from 1944 to 1953, scoring 202 goals in 270 matches. Simply the player who scored the most goals for Portuguesa Sports. He played on the left side, both by the tip and the sock. At the beginning (decade of 40) came to be called Pinga I, since his brother (Pinga II) also played in the team. He was fast, dribbled very well and his left leg kick was fatal. From 1946 he was already called to the Seleção Paulista, giving continuity in years 50, even the Palmeiras having Jair Rosa Pinto (a more complete player), but Pinga like half-left was more decisive within the area. When Portuguesa mounted the historic attack formed by Julinho, Renato, Nininho, Pinga and Simão, it was called by the Brazilian National Team, conquering the Pan-American of 1952 and the following year played the South American. In 1951 Lusa won the Copa San Izidro and Fita Azul and the following year the first Rio-São Paulo Tournament of the club's history. When he played in the 1954 World Cup, he was already a player of Vasco da Gama, where he also had a great time, being a Rio de Janeiro champion (1956 and 1958) and Rio-São Paulo (1958), as well as being the fourth- Januario (250 goals) and was considered the best player of the Vasco da Gama in the seasons 1954, 1955, 1956, 1959 and 1960.
