INFO: He played in Portuguesa from 1945 to 1953 and in 1956/1957, scoring 47 goals in 229 matches. The Portuguesa of all time could not leave out some player of its biggest and best line of attack, formed by Julinho, Renato, Nininho, Pinga and Simão. The left-wing dribbled with speed, in the same way that Teixeirinha (São Paulo ) and Rodrigues (Palmeiras), not toa was nicknamed "the sprinter of Recife", dribbles those who saw the front. Owner of powerful kicks, strong, especially in the free kicks. In the same way as his teammate Nininho, he excelled at winning the Brazilian National Team in the South American Championship of 1949. He won the first titles of the 1950s squad, such as the San Izidro Cup of 1951, the Bi of the Blue Ribbon and the Rio Tournament - Sao Paulo in 1952. The following year he is hired by Corinthians, a club that also had a big ticket, mainly because of the Rio-São Paulo and the 1954 Paulista Championship.
They were great presentations by Corinthians. From his feet came many crosses that found the "Golden Head" Baltazar. His experience contributed greatly to the maturation of young midfielder Rafael Chiarella Neto.
Simão, who over time tamed his own temperament, tried to calm Luizinho Trochillo in his emotional outbursts, thus preventing the "Little Thumb" from going to the shower earlier on several occasions.
