INFO:Wall was a left-winger. His career started in 1903 at Barnsley, where he played until 1906, scoring 25 goals in 80 matches. He then transferred to Manchester United where he spent the majority of his career, making 319 appearances from 1906 to 1919, scoring 100 goals. He then played for Oldham Athletic, Hamilton Academical, Rochdale, Ashton National and Manchester Ship Canal, retiring in 1927. He capped for England 7 times, scoring 2 goals, both in a 2-0 win against Scotland in 1909.
One of Manchester United's most exciting and spectacular players, and one of the best left wingers of the 1920s, Wall was known for his pace, technical skill, tricky play, accurate passes and excellent bullet shots with his natural left foot. The first of his 2 England goals was, in fact, a powerful shot from 18 yards. The second goal was an individual effort that started when Wall got the ball in midfield before dribbling McNair and Cameron, running towards goalkeeper Brownlie and beating him with a magnificent shot. Wall's outstanding speed was too much to handle for the full-backs who had no chance of stopping him once he started his run.
