Kallon is a former winger and centre forward. His career began in 1993. He played for many clubs around the world. The best part of his career started in the 1999-00 season at Reggina, where he scored 14 goals in 36 matches. He then scored 8 times in 25 games the following season at Vicenza. He did even better in 2001-02 at Inter, making 15 goals in 41 appearances. His career then had a quick downfall, reaching its lowest point in 2003a fter an 8-month disqualification due to doping. So, Inter sold him in 2004. He then had experiences at Monaco, Al-Ittihad, AEK Athens and teams in the United Arab Emirates, in Sierra Leone, China and India. He gained 33 caps for Sierra Leone, scoring 14 goals. He retired in 2016.
Regarded as one of the best ever Sierra Leonean players, Kallon was a very promising forward. He was gifted with great speed with and without the ball, good technique and quick dribbling. Able with both feet, he could deliver good crosses when he acted on the flank. He also was a fine header. He helped a lot during the defensive phase, making a lot of track back.
