INFO:Blomqvist is a former left side midfielder or left winger. His career began in 1992 at Umeå. He then spent four seasons at Göteborg from 1993 to 1996, playing 100 matches and scoring 24 goals. After two unsuccessful years in Italy at Milan and Parma, he transferred to Manchester United. He played 38 games and scored once in the 1998-99 season but a serious knee injury forced him out for two years. He retired in 2010 after spells at Everton, Charlton Athletic, Djurgårdens, Enköpings and Hammarby. He gained 30 caps for Sweden.
Blomqvist was a very good player, gifted with outstanding speed and agility, remarkable passing ability ─ especially with crosses ─ dribbling skills, technique, ball control, determination, tenacity and a fine shooting ability.
