BalancedINFO:Badger was a right-back who spent almost his entire career at Sheffield United, captaining the side and playing 541 matches and scoring 8 goals from 1962 to 1976. He retired in 1978 after a two-year spell at Chesterfield.
A consistent and reliable player who appeared at least 40 times for Sheffield United in eleven consecutive seasons and arguably one of their finest ever uncapped defenders, Badger was considered one of the most stylish full-backs at the time. He was very calm in defence and strong in tackles. He had good ball control and showed quickness when pushing forward, never wasting time to support the attack whenever needed. He could deliver accurate crosses and long balls, even with clearances, but also could be dangerous from the distance.
