Parodi was a half back. He spent almost his whole career at Casale and Pro Vercelli − where he won two consecutive titles. He played for the Nerostellati from 1910 to 1915, scoring 2 goals in 75 matches; for the Biancocrociati from 1919 to 1923, scoring again twice in 84 games. In the middle, a short spell at Milanese in 1918-19. He won 4 caps for Italy.
A consistent player, Parodi acted mainly defensively. He was tough, powerful and a very hard tackler. Tireless and careful, he regularly tried to stop his opponents, free his team from the threat by pushing the ball away and occasionally advance forward. He was always impetuous, using most of the times to hurt his opponent after a bad collision. In a match against Pro Vercelli, for example, he was sent off after a clash even though it was accidental. He added quantity rather than quality but he still had confident technique and average passing ability especially with long balls.
