INFO:
Minoia was a right-back or defensive midfielder. He grew up at Milan, where he played 45 matches in the first team from 1978 to 1982, scoring once. After a season at Sambenedettese, he joined Arezzo, where he had the longest spell: 183 games and 5 goals from 1983 to 1988. He retired in 1991 after seasons at Taranto and Montevarchi.
Minoia was a good defender, even though more focused on supporting the attack. He was a decent all-rounder who had technique and dribbling, could hit the ball with the head, make passes and even shoot on goal with great power. His only goal with the Rossoneri came in a 4-1 win against Fiorentina in 1978 when he shot with a powerful volley. He repeated himself in Serie B against Cesena in 1985 with a powerful long range strike.
