INFO:Costenaro was a half-back. He spent most of his career at Alessandria making 90 appearances from 1931 to 1936, scoring once. He played also for Palermo, Hellas Verona and Novara among others. He retired in 1943. Physically very gifted, Costenaro played as wing half on the sides either or in the center, acting mainly there especially when placed side by side with Oreste Barale and Edoardo Avalle, becoming essential in the midfield of Alessandria. He showed good consistency and personality, possessed decent technique and good vision of the game but was mostly effective in the interdiction even though he lacked of positioning sense. He was very promising but his career had a sudden downfall too soon.
