Al-Sheeb is a goalkeeper. He spent his entire career at Al-Sadd, where he made 235 appearances so far from 2008. He capped 76 times for Qatar so far, winning the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, being named best goalkeeper of the tournament and included in the Team of the Tournament. Al-Sheeb is a good goalkeeper, who can command his area. He doesn't possess a great jump but his anticipation and confidence in the air make him capable of reach high balls before his opponents, most of the times catching them and sometimes clearing them with his punches. He possesses very good reaction and is effective when coming out of the goal to make a save in a 1-on-1 with the incoming striker. Also, his ball distribution is quite decent.
