INFO:Chebarro was a goalkeeper. He spent the majority of his career at Nejmeh and his last years at Al Ansar, playing throughout the 1960s and 1970s. He capped for Lebanon in at least 12 occasions. Regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers ─ for many the greatest ever ─ in Lebanon's history, Chebarro had legendary performances throughout his whole career, even when he was almost 40, earning the nickname "Old Cat". Gifted with great reflexes, agility and excellent goalkeeping skills, he could block high balls as well as any kind of shot from difficult positions. He was also good penalty saver specialist. He had numerous memorable matches. Against Morocco in 1970, he was so good that Morocco tried to convince him to join their national team for the 1970 World Cup. He had a great match also against the United Arab Emirates in 1979, after which he earned the nickname "Flying Tiger". As Al Ansar goalkeeper he played twice in 1981 against French team Bastia, once losing 1-0 and then winning 2-1. He had already shone at high level in 1965 during a tournament that took place in Spain, where he received an offer (rejected by his team Nejmeh) from Italian team Inter after his distinguished performance against the Spanish national team.
