INFO:Faisal Antar (older brother of Roda Antar) is a former centre back and defensive midfielder. He spent the majority of his career at Tadamon Sour from 1998 to 2002 and from 2009 to 2012, year of his retirement. He played also for Olympic Beirut from 2002 to 2005, Nejmeh from 2005 to 2007, Mabarra from 2007 to 2009. He had a week-long trial in January 2005 with Rangers, but the Scottish team eventually gave up on signing him because they had enough defenders. Antar capped for Lebanon 54 times, scoring 5 goals.
One of the most prominent Lebanese players of the 2000s, Antar was good either in defence or midfield. A pillar of both clubs and national team, he possessed a good physique and high morals. His performances were always of good level. Despite playing in a defensive position, he scored around 50 goals in his career. In fact, he often pushed forward to support the attack, trigger the offense and score from outside the area or after making a late run to the box. He was considered a "maestro" in the field especially when he was deployed as defensive midfielder.
