INFO:Bonizzoni was a full back. He spent most of his career at Milan, making 266 appearances from 1931 to 1940, scoring twice. He was Milan's captain from 1934 to 1936 and in the 1938-39 season. He played also for Cremonese and Padova, retiring in 1942. He was called up for Italy B several times but couldn't manage to play for the main team.
Forming at Milan a great defending partnership with Luigi Perversi, Bonizzoni was calm, thoughtful and smart whilst his teammate was stronger and rougher. He lacked of strength due to his very short physique. Therefore, he relied on great determination, positional sense and superb speed that made him a hard defender to overcome. He mostly waited his opponent before taking the ball from him with a clean tackle. Once he got the ball, he would make a feint or a turn, trigger a counterattack or sweep the ball away by delivering an accurate pass straight to the forwards. He was very consistent and missed only a few games due to suspension or injury.
