INFO:Cox was a winger, primarily deployed on the left side. He spent the majority of his career at Liverpool, making 361 appearances from 1898 to 1909, scoring 80 goals. He played also for Blackpool in 1897-98 and from 1909 to 1912. He capped for England in 3 occasions. A brilliant but inconsistent forward, Cox was the kind of dashing winger who at times reached the touch line, at times cut inside to deliver a thunderous shot. He had the major weakness to make too elaborated moves when he was holding the ball. That though happened only when he wasn't in a good mood. Otherwise, he would find the way towards the goal without wasting time. It's important to say that his mood mostly depended on the inside forward he was partnered with. Cox was great if the inside was a likeable guy but at his best if his partner was a genius. In the second case, Cox would use any opportunity more than most left wingers.
