INFO:
Ala'a Hubail is a former centre forward. His career began in 2002 at Al-Ahli Manama. He transferred to Qatar in January 2005, playing for Al-Gharafa where he scored 33 goals in 63 appearances in two and a half years. He then played for Kuwait SC and Qatari team Umm-Salal before coming back to Al-Ahli Manama for the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. After short experiences in Oman and Lebanon, he once against returned to Bahrain. This time, he played for Sitra, Manama Club, and Al-Hala, retiring in 2017. He capped for Bahrain 88 times, scoring 26 goals.
One of the most prominent players in Bahrain's history and nicknamed "Golden Boy", Hubail was a short player who still had fine strength. He was gifted with remarkable speed especially in short spaces, and excellent technical skill. He could dribble a few opponents or manage to keep the ball even in difficult situations. Once he had enough space, he would look for a personal action or a teammate to pass the ball to. He didn't disliked helping his defence, and sometimes he could be seen starting his run even from his own half like he did against Japan at the 2004 AFC Asian Cup. He could score good goals with volleys or powerful shots, but he was mostly effective inside the box thanks to his positioning and reaction.
