INFO:Salim is a former forward and offensive midfielder. He spent the majority of his career at Rewa from the late 1970s to the late 1980s. At some point, he was rumored to join Fijian giants Ba F.C. but decided to stay loyal to Rewa, leading the team to an Inter-District Championship second place in 1985. He transferred to Australia in 1987, signing for Canberra City, where he finished his career. He capped for Fiji numerous times, starting from 1977.
One of the most feared Fijian strikers during the 1970s and 1980s, Salim was deceiving, elusive, cunning, hardworking, gifted with a charismatic style of play as well as a powerful and yet accurate shot. His ability to penetrate the defence made him a threat for the opposition's back-line. Furthermore, he always showed dedication and discipline.
