Pak Nam-chol is a former side and attacking midfielder. He spent most of his career in North Korea at April 25, where he played from 2004 to 2012. He played also in Thailand for Muangthong United and Sisaket. He retired in 2014. He capped for North Korea 77 times, scoring 15 goals and taking part to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Considered one of the best North Korean players of the 2000s, Pak Nam-chol had the very good ability to keep the ball with feints and a firm possession of the ball. His high stamina enabled him to do so for the whole match while moving along either flank and centrally. He was also a fine passer and crosser who could give the ball good speed without lacking of accuracy. He had a shot with notable power that allowed him to score a fair number of goals. A natural right-footed, he was pretty accurate with the left foot too and used both feet with the same frequency.
