Agab is a former attacking midfielder. His career started in 1994 at Kober Bahri. He then had his most successful time at Al-Merrikh from 1998 to 2013 as he scored 216 goals in 555 appearances. Not only he became the first player to score 100 goals in the Sudan league but he's also the player with most official goals in Sudan's football history. He retired in 2016 after short experiences with Al-Merreikh Al-Fasher and Al-Nil Shendi. He capped for Sudan 38 times, scoring 17 goals (other sources report 18 goals in 47 caps), taking part to the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
Considered a legend in his country, Agab was distinguished for tall and strong physique, technical skill, accurate dribbling, a powerful shot, quickness and instinct inside the box as he rarely missed scoring opportunities in front of the goal. He scored plenty of goals with headers thanks to his height and remarkable ability in the air. Also, his physique and technique allowed him to keep the ball close to midfield while his teammate got into position to receive a short pass from him. Despite playing as playmaker, his offensive awareness often made him look like a centre forward.
