Al-Hammadi is a left-winger who can also play on the right or as attacking midfielder. He spent the majority of his career at Al Ahli Dubai/Shabab Al Ahli, making 274 league appearances and scoring 46 goals from 2007 to 2021. He then played for Khor Fakkan from 2021 to 2023 when he signed for Emirates Club. He capped for the United Arab Emirates 116 times, scoring 13 goals.
A talented offensive player, Al-Hammadi is distinguished by his pace and technical skill. While he's not physically strong nor difficult to tackle down, he can go past one or more opponents thanks to remarkable agility, quick dribbling and speed in tight spaces. Although never too prolific, especially with his national team, he has a good and powerful shooting ability with his right foot. He occasionally scored with headers despite not being very tall. Also a good passer, he usually play the ball simply whilst he opts for the cross less frequently.
