INFO:Soedarmadji was an inside-right. He spent his career at HBS Surabaya where he started playing in 1935. He capped for Indonesia (back then named Dutch East Indies) in the late 1930s, taking part to the 1938 FIFA World Cup. Unfortunately, not much is known about Soedarmadji. He was though the best striker of the World Cup team, leading a forward line that was very open and bold to attack, and surprisingly good from a technical standpoint due to a brilliant dribbling ability. György Sárosi, centre forward and captain of Hungary, the team that faced the Dutch Indies in the competition, also pointed out the fact that some Indonesian players showed a good heading ability when it came to block several crosses that were directed to the Hungarian forwards. Soedarmadji was one of those players.
