Hadianto is a former goalkeeper. His career started in 1958 at Persis Solo. He then spent the rest of his career at Persija Jakarta, playing there from 1960 to 1973. He capped for Indonesia 53 times from 1962 to 1969.
Considered at his time Indonesia's best keeper and one of the best in Asia, Hadianto was known for being calm and agile between the posts. His composure was especially proven by the fact that he was never affected by the voices of the spectators. So he managed to being a starter for his national team for several years thanks to his usually good performances. Hadianto, however, also made the fans worry for his brave style of play. He welcomed all shots or came off his goal to stop the opposing striker and pick up the ball, showing no fear. He had the chance to play against big European teams such as Leeds United, Benfica and Dynamo Moscow, resisting many of their attacks.
