INFO:
Mulamba is a former attacking midfielder and left-winger. He started his career at Maragoli United in 1978. Two years later, he signed for AFC Leopards where he spent the rest of his career before retiring in 1991. He's the club's all-time top scorer with 137 goals. He capped for Kenya 68 times from 1978 to 1988, scoring 14 goals and taking part to the 1981, 1982 and 1983 CECAFA Cups that his team won consecutively.
One of the best Kenyan players of all time and undoubtedly the greatest in Leopards' history, Mulamba excelled in his role behind the main strikers. An excellent dribbler — possibly the best Kenya has ever produced — and accurate passer, he was also gifted with strength, pace, footballing brain and sense for goal. His speed and technical skills earned him comparisons to Diego Maradona and the nickname "Kenya's Maradona". Also a good set piece taker, he was a specialist in particular from penalty. He was unstoppable down the left flank and known for his sudden late runs to the opposition's box. His style of play created many problems to the opposing defenders and countless chances for his teammates. Some dared to say that he could fit big clubs outside Africa. However, he could be very frustrating when he wasn't in the mood and condition to perform well in the match, which apparently wasn't an uncommon issue.
