His career started in his native South Africa in 1987, playing for Giant Blackpool until 1992. He then spent one season at Kaizer Chiefs and two at Gençlerbirliği. He had his breakout in his thirties, playing for Kocaelispor from 1995 to 1997 and Fenerbahçe from 1998 to 2000, for a total 94 matches and 27 goals, and 81 games and 15 goals, respectively. He retired in 2008 following experiences with Bursaspor, Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu. He capped for South Africa 73 times, scoring 8 goals and winning the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations as one of the best players in the team. One of South Africa's most talented ever players, Moshoeu was a dribbling wizard with great offensive prowess, very fast in long distance and even more in short sprints. His ball control wasn't always optimal but his balance and overall technical qualities allowed him to keep the ball in most situations. He possessed an excellent ball distribution, providing plenty of scoring chances with fast crosses from the sides with either foot or accurate through passes from a central position. He dictated the pace of the game, adding creativity and causing many problems to any back-line. Other than being an excellent playmaker, he was also a good finisher who made several late runs and showed remarkable shot technique as well as solid accuracy from set piece. Even though he was mostly focused on the attack, he would also support the defense when necessary, recovering some balls thanks to his pace. https://youtu.be/JZOVbTwGnSk |
