INFO:
Badra is a former centre-back who could also play as defensive midfielder. His career started in 1994 at Kairouan. He signed for Espérance Tunis one year later and spent five years at club, making 84 appearances and scoring 3 goals. He then played a season at Denizlispor in 2000-01 and one at Genoa in 2001-02. He eventually returned to Espérance Tunis where he played 57 more matches and scored 11 goals before retiring in 2009. However, he was loaned to Saudi team Al-Ahli in 2002-03 and 2006-07. He capped for Tunisia 96 times, scoring 10 goals and winning the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations. While he didn't take part to the final, he was a starter in most games, the team captain and scored the equaliser via penalty in the semifinal against Nigeria then won by Tunisia at the shootout.
Badra was a good defender known for his physical power and uncompromising defensive qualities that consisted of excellent man marking skill, solid positioning, anticipation and tackling. His height helped him being effective in the air both defensively and offensively. In addition, he could carry the ball forward despite lacking pace due to his physique and a good ball control that allowed him to defend the possession. Furthermore, he had a remarkable ball distribution, especially with his long passes from the back, and was a set piece specialist who scored several penalties and could be a threat from free kick too.
