Khazri is a secondary striker or attacking midfielder who can also play as centre-forward and winger. His career started in 2008 at Bastia where he played until 2014, making 183 appearances and scoring 34 goals. He then spent two seasons at Bordeaux and three at Sunderland. In 2017, he was loaned to Stade Rennais where he scored 11 goals in 29 games in a season. One year later, he signed for Saint-Étienne where he scored 37 goals in 114 matches between 2018 and 2022. He's currently playing for Montpellier. He capped for Tunisia 74 times, scoring 25 goals.
One of the best Tunisian attacking players in recent years, Khazri is a complete player who can be a deadly finisher with his thunderous shots, especially from the edge of the area, or a playmaker who provides numerous assists with accurate and fast crosses or well-placed passes. He's particularly effective in shooting first-time or from difficult positions. Due to his playmaking abilities, he's often deployed behind the strikers or on the wing. When on the side, he likes to cut inside and look for the scoring attempt from outside area. Excellent from set piece, he scored many goals from free kick, penalty and even direct corner kick on occasions, showing a great ball bending ability. While he's not notably fast, he's gifted with remarkable dribbling and ball control thanks to which he can challenge opponents one-on-one or protect the ball, waiting for a teammate to whom he can pass the ball. Accurate with both feet, he prefers using his natural right to shoot while he often uses the left too to pass the ball.
