INFO:Kaâbi is a former left-back. He spent his entire career at Club Olympique des Transports in his native country Tunisia, making 250 appearances and scoring 38 goals between 1970 and 1987. He capped for Tunisia 77 times, scoring 9 goals and representing his country at the 1978 FIFA World Cup.
Considered one of the best side-backs in Tunisia's history, Kaâbi was a great player, elegant in his movements, distinguished by his leadership and scoring ability, effective in his overlapping runs, gifted with game reading skill, accurate ball distribution and a powerful shot on both feet. His crosses were especially good, though not particularly fast, and for this reason he was often in charge of set pieces so that he could send the ball to the box and find the head of the strikers. He also had fine technique overall, though his dribbling wasn't as good. A natural right-footed, he often found himself in the situation where he had to use the other due to his role being left-back. However, he wasn't always accurate with the left. He scored Tunisia's first ever World Cup goal in the first match of the 1978 edition against Mexico.
