INFO:
Son of Ghana's legend Abedi Pelé, André Ayew is a left-winger who can play in both attack and midfield. He spent his best years at Olympique Marseille where he made 209 appearances and scored 60 goals between 2007 and 2015. He had good success with Swansea City too as he scored 47 times in 141 matches, playing for the Welsh club in 2015-16, 2018 and 2019-20. He also played for Lorient, Arles-Avignon, West Ham United, Fenerbahçe, Al-Sadd, Nottingham Forest, and Le Havre. He signed with NAC Breda in 2026. A Ghana international from 2007 to 2024, he represented his country 120 times and scored 24 goals.
A fast and technical player, Ayew was excellent on the wing as he could challenge his opponents one-on-one, earn a foul, or find space to provide a potential assist. He could deliver solid passes, also with the outside of his natural left foot, but his corssing ability didn't always prove accurate. He was very versatile as he moved well on either side, often running across the entire attacking area, or make a run to the opposition's box. While he never seemed a particularly prolific striker, he could score some remarkable goals and was extremely effective in the air thanks to an impressive jump and an accurate heading ability. His timing when getting into position also played its role. Ayew was mostly an offensive player but his contribution in midfield and in recovering the ball was noteworthy. He was also a fine penalty taker.
