INFO:Mayanga is a former right-winger. He spent his entire career at Vita Club from 1967 to 1982, winning the 1973 African Champions League. He represented the Democratic Republic of the Congo (back then Zaire) from 1967 to at least 1974, scoring not less than 8 goals in at least 23 caps. He won the 1974 Africa Cup of Nations and participated at the 1974 FIFA World Cup.
Mayanga was known in Africa as a fast winger who relied in particular on dribbling and crossing abilities. While he struggled at the World Cup, he still had the chance to show his technique and speed other than solid shooting power in his rare scoring attempts. His ball distribution wasn't bad, but it was overshadowed by midfielders such as Kibonge and Mantantu who were the main ball providers.
