INFO:
Mulumbu is a defensive or central midfielder. His career started in 2004 in the reserve team of Paris Saint-Germain. He joined the main squad in 2006 but didn't have success. He was loaned to Amiens for the 2007-08 season and eventually sold to West Bromwich Albion in 2009 after a short loan. He had his best time with "the Albion", making 211 appearances between 2009 and 2015, scoring 15 goals. Afterwards, he played for Norwich City, Kilmarnock, and Celtic but always without success. He had good 2021-22 season in DR Congo with Saint-Éloi Lupopo. He lastly played for Orléans between 2022 and 2024 and is without a club since his last contract ended. He represented the Democratic Republic of the Congo 45 times, scoring 1 goal.
Mulumbu was a good midfielder, physically powerful, gifted with stamina and strong will. He lacked notable pace, especially on the ball, and his control wasn't very good, but he could dribble when necessary. He was active in both defence and attack, recovering multiple balls with his tackles or setting up the play with short passes. His ball distribution, though, wasn't very accurate. Therefore, he rarely provided long balls to his teammates, preferring the easy pass. He joined the attack now and then, even reaching the opposition's area, attempting the shot or a potential final pass.
