Moutoussamy is a defensive or central midfielder who can also play as side midfielder out of necessity. His career in 2014 with the Olympique Lyonnais reserves team. In 2016, he transferred to Nantes where he played for the B team in his first two years at the club. He made his debut with the first team in 2017 and stayed with Nantes until 2024. He was loaned to Fortuna Sittard for the 2020-21 season but played more regularly in Nantes starting team from 2021 to 2024. He made a total 169 appearances for the French club, scoring 4 goals. He then played for Sivasspor in 2024-25 and signed for Atromitos in 2025-26. He represents DR Congo since 2019 and has earned 59 caps so far.
Moutoussamy is a solid midfielder who performs multiple tasks, acting as holding midfielder, box-to-box midfielder, or the one who builds up the play. He's generally not fast but he can make a solid long stride off the ball. He's technically gifted but rarely attempts a dribbling. His ball distribution is remarkable and although he prefers playing the ball short, he can provide good crosses too. Moreover, he can use both feet very well despite being a natural left-footed. He has great stamina that allows him to cover the back-line and recover balls as well as make occasional late runs to the opposing box throughout the match.
