INFO:
Ibrahima Traoré is a former winger and side midfielder. His career started in 2006 at Levallois SC in France. He transferred to Germany one year later and played there until his retirement in 2021. He firstly played for Hertha BSC from 2007 to 2009, then Augsburg from 2009 to 2011. He had his breakout at Stuttgart where he played from 2011 to 2014, making 99 appearances and scoring 6 goals. He then moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach where he played 133 matches and scored 11 goals between 2014 and 2021, although he played much less frequently starting from the 2016-17 season. He represented the Guinea national team from 2010 to 2019, earning 50 caps and scoring 8 goals.
Traoré was an extremely fast and agile player, gifted with excellent technical abilities, especially in his dribbling. He was difficult to catch when he started his run down the side or when he cut inside. He wasn't a prolific attacker but could deliver solid shot attempts with good power every now and then. He was more of a provider of assists, but while his crosses were often very fast, they often lacked the right accuracy to be a constant threat. He was rarely seen in support of the defence as he'd rather fall back into midfield only to receive the ball and start the attack from the back with one of his trademark runs. As a left-footed player, Traoré hardly used the right foot, although he wasn't bad with it.
