INFO:
Turconi was an inside-right, sometimes deployed as right-half. His career started at Pro Patria where he played from 1940 to 1942, 1944 to 1950 and in 1957-58 for a total 265 appearances and 82 goals. He played for Liguria in 1942-43 and Varese in 1943-44. He also had a good experience at Como from 1950 to 1954, scoring 21 goals in 106 matches. He retired in 1959 following experiences at Palermo, Sanremese and Borgomanero. He capped for Italy twice in 1948, scoring 1 goal.
A talented inside-forward, Turconi was tireless, dynamic, in possession of great speed on long distance, excellent dribbling and a terrific shot that allowed him to score many unstoppable goals from long range. He was pretty accurate from set piece, scoring some free kicks and penalties. His ball distribution and heading ability were also solid. Other than being effective in the attack, he often used to fall back to support the back-line, taking advantage of his dynamism and stamina. For this reason, he performed well whenever he was deployed in the right-half role. While he was more consistent during his time at Pro Patria, earning two international caps, his consistency decreased during his Como years, although he still gave an undeniable contribution.
