INFO:Leone was a wing half. He played 112 matches and scored once for Pro Vercelli from 1906 to 1913, during the club's golden era. He capped for Italy in 9 occasions. He was part of Pro Vercelli's legendary midfield trio Guido Ara and Giuseppe Milano.
Leone was described by legendary coach Vittorio Pozzo as a strong player, solid rather than tall, fierce and unselfish. His main task − alongside Giuseppe Milano − was to break the opposing attacks while Ara was the playmaker from the back. Leone did his job well, constantly fighting with passion, thanks to his excellent defensive skills, energy and spirit of sacrifice. He was rough but fair and whenever he was dribbled, he immediately turned back on his opponent with determination and tenacity.
