INFO:Grassi is a former goalkeeper. He had his best time at Ascoli, making 124 appearances from 1973 to 1977. He played for several other clubs including Lucchese, Atalanta, Cremonese, Perugia, Bari, Pescara and Pistoiese. He retired in 1986.
Regarded as a great goalkeeper, Grassi possessed athleticism, agility and outstanding reaction. He was capable of making exceptional saves and stopping his opponent one-on-one despite not having a great physique. He was reckless but efficient out of the goal and could make incredible dive from one side to the other. He managed to stop shots from legends like Gigi Riva and Paolo Pulici.
