Vörös was an inside forward. He's considered one of the most talentuous players in Bari history. He was bought from Hungarian team Szeged in 1948, after six seasons in his country. He was first noticed during the 1945-46 season, when he scored 35 goals, the same as the legendary Ferenc Puskás. His first season in Bari wasn't successful with only 8 matches played. In the following two, he played 57 times and scored 22 goals. He stayed in Bari for three more seasons despite the team suffering three consecutive relegations and retired in 1953. He played 142 games in total and scored 54 goals for Bari.
Vörös was a good passer and an accurate finalizer but the most impressive qualities were his speed, great technique and dribbling skills. He could run without the ball into the box to receive the ball and score or less often he was the one of passed the ball in the area, mostly with low to the ground crosses. However he excelled when he decided to run with the ball on his feet, dribble the entire defence and beat the goalkeeper, sometimes even with a movement to fool him.
