Rambaldelli was a short but strong defender, a rough fighter and tackler who marked his opponents tightly. He often used to push forward, sometimes to help building up the play with passes or to create problems for the opposing defence during corners. He scored only twice but one of his goals − against Napoli − was a great volley of rare power after receiving the ball from a corner; the second one came in a 3-1 win against Juventus and was a simple tap-in after a save made by Anzolin.
