INFO:Ercole Bodini was an inside forward, who could play also as right winger. He had the best seasons in Cremonese and Genoa: 92 matches and 27 goals for the
Grigiorossi from 1922 to 1927; 38 goals in 108 games for the
Grifoni between 1927 and 1931. He played also for Bari and Catania. He retired in 1936 after one last season in Cremonese.
Considered one of the best Italian inside forwards of the 1920s, Bodini was good at building the play, his considerable shots and his ability to run inside the box made him a good scorer as well. He was a fine passer, had good speed and dribbling, his shots were powerful and he showed to have excellent technique when shooting due to some volleys he delivered in goal. His downfall began in the 1929-30 season, when he failed the penalty that could've lead Genoa to win its tenth championship. The mistake affected him psychologically for the rest of his career.
