INFO:Valle was a defender who played 69 matches for Pro Vercelli from 1909 to 1914. He capped 7 times for Italy between 1912 and 1914.
Valle formed with Binaschi a great couple of defenders but, while his teammate was purely defensive, Valle had an uncommon offensive attitude. He used to push forward, exchange passes, occasionally set up the action like a sweeper
ante litteram. He even scored 6 goals for Pro Vercelli, most of them with headings. Not always efficient, he was criticized in several reports, where it was often said that he could have done way more in the match. However, when he was in great form, he was a wall. Valle was described as a powerful but athletic defender and decades later, journalist Carlo Bergoglio compared him to Virgilio Maroso but way less technical.
