Binaschi was a full back. He made 113 appearances for Pro Vercelli as he was one of the regular defenders in the team alongside Modesto Valle. He was called for Italy in 9 occasions between 1911 and 1913.
Binaschi was a short but tough man marker. He made up for his size issue with very good speed and great acceleration, thanks to which he anticipated even the toughest opponents. He was good in the air despite his size and scored twice even though he wasn't an offensive player − unlike his teammate Valle, who frequently pushed forward. Binaschi could make powerful clearances: in one occasion, he kicked the ball so far that it reached the goalkeeper, who didn't know what to do; so, three Pro Vercelli strikers besieged the goalkeeper, pushing him inside with the ball and the goal was confirmed!
